A primary school in Liverpool is looking to appoint a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 2 pupil with additional learning needs. The role involves working closely with the pupil to provide consistent support throughout the school day.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 support tailored to the pupil's educational and social needs.
- Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
- Support the pupil's engagement with learning activities.
- Work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to review meetings.
Requirements:
- Experience working with KS2 pupils, ideally in a 1:1 or SEN role.
- A calm, patient, and flexible approach to supporting learning.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE) are beneficial.
- Understanding of safeguarding procedures.
