Payroll Analyst, £35,000 Per Annum, 12 Month FTC, Liverpool

Macmillan Davies are delighted to be working with a long-standing and top-tier logistics firm who are looking for a Payroll Analyst to join their diligent team. This role will function to provide the weekly end-to-end payroll and supporting administrative tasks in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

Main duties include:

  • Accurately process weekly payroll with a right-first-time mindset.
  • Review and reconcile pre-payroll reports, looking at variances before final submission
  • Reconcile employee flexible benefit selections and promptly resolve any weekly benefit-related issues.
  • Monitor the shared weekly payroll mailbox as required
  • Process weekly hours in accordance with set deadlines
  • Manage payroll queries via email, ensuring clear and timely communication.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company policies to provide accurate payroll guidance to employees.
  • Collaborate with the wider payroll team to ensure all weekly inputs, including overtime and flexible benefit changes, are submitted accurately.
  • Stay informed with changing payroll legislation by reviewing current and new regulations
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure all payroll actions are accurately completed.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Solid end to end payroll experience in a similar fast paced environment
  • Experience of using SAP system
  • Capable of performing effectively under pressure and adapting to priorities
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with a particular focus on Excel
  • Skilled in diary management, with thorough planning and organisational abilities
