Payroll Specialist | 12 month contract | Payroll Specialist | £35,000

We are working with a very reputable, well known, local employer to recruit for a Payroll Specialist on a 12 month fixed term basis. 

You will play a key role in supporting the payroll and HR function to process weekly payroll as well as supporting the administration of all payroll activity. Your main duties as a Payroll Specialist will include:

  • Processing payroll on a weekly basis
  • Managing the time and attendance system, carrying out checks and resolving issues/errors
  • Preparing and analysing payroll reports
  • Reconciling payroll journals
  • Administration of the benefits and pension schemes
  • Monitoring payroll inbox ensuring all incoming queries are dealt with timely and efficiently
  • Liaising with wider payroll team to ensure weekly payroll information including overtime and flexible benefit adjustments are submitted error free and is right first time
  • Quality checking all payroll actions are completed correctly prior to running payroll
  • Ensuring all payroll data is correct and up to date
  • Supporting with year end procedures including P60 and FPS and EPS submissions, revenue payments and third party payments
  • Suporting with continuous improvement of payroll systems and processes
  • Preparing internal reports 
  • Provide ad hoc supportto other projects when required

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience working on weekly payrolls
  • Be immediately available or on a short term notice
  • SAP experience
  • Experience of working on projects or process improvement would be desirable
