We are looking to recruit an experienced Neighbourhood Officer on a full-time, temporary contract in Liverpool for a minimum of 3 months paying up to £22.50 per hour. Key responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the delivery of high-quality housing & tenancy management services across your own patch of properties across Liverpool including managing your own caseload of low to medium level anti social behaviour cases
  • Dealing with various tenancy issues including relationship breakdowns, abandonments, unauthorised occupations including subletting, tenancy fraud and failure to allow access
  • Carrying out a range of visits including viewings, tenancy audits, exchange inspections and tenancy reviews
  • Managing your own case of ASB & tenancy breaches including carrying out investigations, gathering evidence and witness statements, preparing legal paperwork for legal proceedings and attending evictions
  • Identifying customers at risk of tenancy failure, completing assessments of needs and making appropriate referrals to internal/external services to ensure tenancy sustainment
  • Responding to general enquiries or complaints from customers, stakeholders and local MPs

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience of delivering housing and tenancy management functions including ASB case management and low level arrears
  • Good understanding and knowledge of housing legislation & best practice
  • Knowledge and understanding of welfare reform and benefits
  • Driving licence with access to own vehicle and valid business insurance
