We are urgently looking for people who have a background or experience working with SEN pupils. Particularly in the Bootle, Southport and Netherton areas.

Your role will be working in a classroom within a specialist SEND school setting often on a one-two or three to one basis with a young person with SEND needs under the guidance of a teacher.

We are looking for people who have experience working with young people in any setting with an SEN background who are looking to transfer these skills into the classroom and support children with often complex special needs.

The Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to:

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils .
  • Help deliver personalised learning and behaviour strategies.
  • Support pupils' social and emotional development.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils
  • Contribute to a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.

We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with ASD / SEMH or additional needs.
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
  • Strong behaviour management and excellent communication skills.
  • A team player who is also confident working independently.
  • A willingness to learn and undertake relevant CPD.
