SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Are you an experienced HLTA with a passion for supporting pupils with additional needs? We're looking for calm, committed, and adaptable Higher Level Teaching Assistants to join a specialist SEND school in Liverpool.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with pupils who have a range of needs including autism, ADHD, and SEMH. You'll support personalised learning, deliver small-group interventions, implement behaviour strategies, and lead classroom sessions when needed.
Your responsibilities will include:


  • Supporting pupils with SEND in a specialist setting

  • Leading learning activities and stepping in for planned class cover

  • Delivering tailored interventions and implementing behaviour plans

  • Contributing to EHCP targets and progress reviews

  • Working closely with teaching staff, therapists, and families


What we're looking for:

  • HLTA status or substantial classroom support experience
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND across EYFS, KS1, KS2, or KS3
  • Confident leading learning independently or in small groups
  • Calm, patient, and proactive approach to behaviour support
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
