Sen Teaching Assistant

I C Talentis currently recruiting an experienced and committedSEN Teaching Assistantto support a school based inFazakerley. This role involves working closely with pupils who haveSpecial Educational Needs (SEN), including those who displaychallenging behaviour. We are seeking someone resilient, patient, and confident in supporting pupils with additional needs.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with a range of SEN needs.

• Assist with managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour using a calm and consistent approach.

• Support the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities.

• Encourage pupil engagement, confidence, and emotional regulation.

• Help create a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment.

• Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider school team.

Requirements

• Essential:Proven experience working withSEN pupils.

• Essential:Experience supportingchallenging behaviour.

• Ability to remain calm, professional, and supportive in all situations.

• Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-focused attitude.

• A genuine passion for supporting children and young people.

• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
