We are recruiting an experienced and dedicatedSEN Teaching Assistantto join anOutstanding rated SEN schoolbased inChildwall, Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a highly supportive, well-resourced setting that delivers exceptional provision for pupils with complex needs.

The role will involve supporting pupils withcomplex learning needs, includingAutism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), communication difficulties, and associated behavioural and sensory needs. Flexibility is essential, as you will be working acrossdifferent age groupswithin the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality one-to-one and small group support to pupils with complex needs and ASD

  • Support pupils with emotional regulation, communication, and social development

  • Assist teachers in delivering highly differentiated and accessible learning activities

  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs), care plans, and behaviour support strategies

  • Support pupils with personal care and sensory needs where required

  • Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour

  • Adapt confidently to working across different classes and age groups

  • Maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment

  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and support staff

  • Follow safeguarding, child protection, and health and safety policies at all times

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with children or young people with SEN

  • Strong understanding of ASD and complex needs

  • Flexible, patient, and resilient approach

  • Ability to work effectively across different age groups

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding
