 About the Role
This is a hands-on position that blends technical understanding with commercial awareness—and if the commercial side is new to you, don’t worry. You’ll be fully supported and mentored by an experienced Commercial Director who’ll help you develop this part of your skillset.
Day-to-day, you’ll be involved in:
- Assessing incoming enquiries and understanding project requirements.
- Preparing quotes and pricing work using standard rates and technical insight.
- Liaising with the operations team to confirm resources and plan delivery.
- Visiting sites to get a real feel for the job and understand client needs.
- Managing variations and ensuring work is accurately costed and invoiced.
You’ll interact with a wide range of clients—from homeowners to tier-1 contractors—so you’ll need to be confident in your communication and enjoy building relationships.

- Familiarity with NEC or JCT contracts (beneficial but not essential—training provided).
