We're recruiting for a Trainee Accountant to join a well-established business based in Llangefni. You'll play a key role in supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting across multiple divisions.
Description
The key responsibilities of the Trainee Accountant include:
- Prepare and review management accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to support financial planning.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Support the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on cash flow to maintain financial stability.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data collection.
- Provide support during audits by supplying necessary documentation and explanations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function.
Profile
The successful Trainee Accountant will have:
- A degree or qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools
- Strong experience with Excel, VlookUps, Pivot Tables, Power Queries
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for financial reporting.
- Knowledge of management accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a small-sized team environment.
