We're recruiting for a Trainee Accountant to join a well-established business based in Llangefni. You'll play a key role in supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting across multiple divisions.

Description

The key responsibilities of the Trainee Accountant include:

  • Prepare and review management accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to support financial planning.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on cash flow to maintain financial stability.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data collection.
  • Provide support during audits by supplying necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function.

Profile

The successful Trainee Accountant will have:

  • A degree or qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and tools
  • Strong experience with Excel, VlookUps, Pivot Tables, Power Queries
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of management accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a small-sized team environment.
