Test Team Leader
Location: Newport | Full-Time | Engineering / Manufacturing

We're looking for a dynamic, hands-on Test Team Leader to drive quality, safety, and performance in a testing department. If you're passionate about leading teams, delivering precision work, and shaping operational excellence, this is your opportunity to step into a pivotal role.

Days based role, but may move onto shifts (You must be flexible) 

Opportunity: 
As a Test Team Leader, you'll lead a dedicated team responsible for testing and commissioning trains and trams before they enter service. You'll ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise daily operations of the test team(s), ensuring testing is efficient and meets production timelines.
• Perform on-board testing and troubleshooting on multiple train units, resolving complex technical issues.
• Maintain accurate test reports and documentation, in line with company procedures.
• Ensure targets and testing deadlines are hit
• Support lean production activities and coordinate closely with managers and cross-functional teams.

Essentials:
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• Proven experience leading technical or engineering teams in a production or testing environment.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with hands-on mechanical or electrical expertise.
• Commitment to health & safety, quality control, and team development.
• Confident communicator with the ability to organise, motivate, and drive team performance.
