What You’ll Do:
- Be the go-to expert on breakdowns and maintenance – fast, effective fixes are your bread and butter.
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) to a high standard.
- Drive OEE and performance improvement across the plant.
- Tackle electrical and mechanical faults with confidence and skill.
- Champion Health & Safety, Food Safety, and GMP standards.
- Collaborate with production, management, and contractors – your voice matters here.
What I’m Looking For:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an engineering role (food industry experience highly valued).
- NVQ Level 3 or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- A proactive mindset with a natural ability to troubleshoot and take initiative.
- Ability to read manuals, interpret technical drawings, and use PPM systems effectively.
- Physically fit and comfortable working in warm environments and at height.
Great to Have:
- Experience with metal detectors, mixers, depositors, or flow wrappers.
- Background in a Food /FMCGÂ environments
