Job Title: NPD Technologist
Location: Llanfor
Hours: Full-Time | Permanent

Are you passionate about taking a product from kitchen concept to supermarket shelf? Do you love the idea of working with sweet treats and seeing your work come to life in delicious form? We’re looking for a hands-on NPD Technologist to join our fast-paced and friendly food manufacturing team.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Support the development of new products from initial trials through to launch.

  • Plan and run factory trials – making sure everything from ingredients to packaging is spot-on.

  • Work closely with Production, Engineering, Planning, and Technical teams to get products ready for full-scale production.

  • Capture detailed data during trials (think machine settings, bake times, decoration placement, etc).

  • Collect samples for shelf-life, nutrition testing, and customer approvals.

  • Keep things tidy by ensuring new ingredients and tools are stored properly post-trial.

  • Help with paperwork, sample bookings, courier requests, and general NPD admin to keep projects moving smoothly.

  • Be part of internal and customer meetings to share progress and updates.

  • Support first production runs and help ensure we hit all the right quality standards.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience in a similar NPD or Process Technologist role within food manufacturing – bakery experience is a big plus!

  • Good understanding of ingredients and how they behave in real-life production.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills – you'll work with lots of different departments.

  • Organised and detail-focused – you’ll need to keep track of trial data and project timelines.

  • Flexible and hands-on – someone who’s happy to roll their sleeves up and get involved on the factory floor.

  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

  • HACCP and Food Hygiene qualifications (Level 3 preferred).

Why You’ll Love It Here:
  • Be part of a supportive, close-knit NPD team with a genuine passion for what they do.

  • See your ideas and work hit the shelves and make customers smile.

  • No two days are the same – you’ll be involved in all sorts of exciting projects and sweet creations.
