- Location: City of London
- Salary: £50K - £65K depending on level of qualification and experience
- Permanent and Full time.
Main Duties include:
- Support the Financial Controller in bookkeeping, accounting processes and group reporting for the UK entities of the group.
- Enter financial information into relevant ledgers, accounting, and treasury systems.
- Maintain the integrity of financial data by ensuring accurate and timely entries and transaction processing.
- Participate in the month-end closing process, including transaction processing, manual journals, accruals, etc.
- Compile monthly VAT data.
- Perform regular accounting reconciliations, including debtor/creditor, inter-group, bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Assist with external audit processes.
- Collaborate with tax advisors for corporation tax return queries and filings.
- Support the financial reporting team in improvement projects, such as implementing new accounting systems (e.g., SAP).
Essential Skills required:
- Degree educated with a bachelor's or master's level in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Part-qualified /Qualified (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and IFRS
- Familiarity with UK tax filing and reporting requirements, particularly for VAT and corporation tax.
- Experience in external audit process and expectations from the in-house accounting team.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably SAP) would be a bonus.
