Role:

Our client is looking for an immediate, temporary, French Speaking Accountant to assist them for an initial 4 months. You be will be responsible for following duties:

  • Review or prepare recorded/posted transactions of all non-US entities
  • Oversee the timely and accurate fiscal year closings for all non-US external reporting and coordinate with closings worldwide
  • Manage local annual fiscal audits for non-US entities as applicable
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors (accounting, payroll, pensions, banking and auditing) and negotiate to get the best rates for these services in non-US entities
  • Manage procedures for granting of funds between all non-US charities and coordinate consistency where possible with the worldwide procedures
  • Work with Operations Administrators and when needed, provide training on basic accounting concepts, so that they can assist in bank reconciliations, journal entries and analysis
  • Propose changes to accounting policies and procedures for all non-US based entities to the Global Controller and take the lead in its implementation and consistency worldwide
  • Work with Operations staff to ensure that cash flow, budgeting and forecasting in all non-US locations is budgeted and monitored appropriately
  • Strengthen transaction mechanisms while ensuring the required internal controls and compliance (e.g., IFRS, IAS local regulations and taxation)
  • Deliver outputs in a timely manner while maintaining consistency with the agreed strategy and priorities of the Finance Division
  • Produce reports and recommendations following internal audits or public-sector audits
  • Operate in compliance with organisational policies and procedures
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required.

Profile:

The successful, temporary Accountant will either be qualified (ACCA or CIMA), qualified by exeperience or part qualified. You must have good written and spoken English and French and ideally have a working understanding of French GAAP. You would of had exposure to Netsuite or a similar large ERP system and ideally have a 'not for profit' background.

You must be immediate or 1 weeks notice to be considered for this role.

Salary & Benefits:

The temporary French Speaking Accountant will be paying circa £250 - £350 per day, dependant on experience. The role has potential to extend.
