Our Client Mackie Myers are supporting a large social housing provider based in central London in the recruitment of a Capital Accountant. This is a great opportunity to make a significant impact within a leading not-for-profit organization.The RoleAs Capital Accountant, this is a pivotal role where you will bridge the Finance team and various business units, managing all fixed asset movements and financial reporting. Your insights and recommendations will be crucial in helping the Asset & Sustainability and Sales divisions achieve their goals.Main Duties:
  • Oversee all aspects of fixed asset accounting, offering guidance and driving transformation initiatives
  • Implement robust financial controls to guarantee timely, accurate reporting 
  • Provide strategic and operational guidance to navigate emerging opportunities and challenges
  • Assist the Head of Capital and Asset Reporting in managing the financial aspects of CAPEX and sales programs
  • Maintain and manage large, complex data sets with precision
  • Develop and maintain the Group’s Fixed Asset Register
  • Guide and develop the assistant capital accountant
The Successful Candidiate
  • CAPEX & large fixed asset register experience
  • Expertise in data & controls 
  • Experience in value add reporting
  • Ability to manage and motivate 
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
