Harmonic are partnered with a high growth post-Series B SaaS start-up in their search for a Financial Controller to join the team.
With a truly innovative and award-winning solution in the fast-growing DevOps and Big-Data space, this is one of the world's fastest-scaling open-source start-ups. Their Series A and B were both led by top-tier VC firms-the same investors behind several global tech success stories over the past five years. Clients include some of the world's largest tech companies, leading consumer brands, and major sports organisations.
The company has a global footprint with offices in the US, UK, and Europe and is on track for rapid growth, currently at $20m ARR and forecasting $40m in 2025. They're also targeting their Series C round likely $75m+ for strategic M&A activity.
You'll be joining a bright, passionate team with deep experience across leading tech and SaaS scale-ups-all motivated to build the next open-source unicorn.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will take ownership of the financial controls, month end and statutory reporting across global entities. You'll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting ensuring compliance with relevant standards, while also leading on audit, and intercompany accounting. There will also be significant exposure to FP&A/Commercial Finance activities as the company scales.
This is a broad, high-impact role that will see you drive improvements in controls, systems, and processes, including supporting the implementation of NetSuite and Spendesk. You'll also partner closely with the CFO and Finance Director on FP&A and transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the end-to-end month-end close process across all entities, delivering timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting.
* Oversee the preparation and review of statutory financial statements, ensuring full compliance with IFRS, UK GAAP, and US GAAP requirements.
* Own VAT, sales tax, and audit processes across multiple jurisdictions, working closely with external advisors to ensure compliance and efficiency.
* Strengthen internal controls and continuously enhance accounting policies and financial procedures.
* Champion process improvement and systems optimisation, supporting the successful implementation of NetSuite and Spendesk.
* Manage global intercompany accounting, including reconciliations and eliminations, to ensure accurate consolidated reporting.
* Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, managing the year-end audit process from planning through to completion.
* Provide technical accounting expertise and ensure consistent application of standards across the business.
* Partner with the Finance Director and CFO on key treasury, compliance, and finance transformation initiatives.
Requirements
* ACA/ACCA Qualified
* Hands-on controllership/accounting experience in a fast-paced start-up or scale-up
* SaaS or relevant subscription experience preferred
* Proven track record of building and improving finance processes / systems
* Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency consolidations
