Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Financial Controller to lead its finance operations. This is a rare opportunity to join one of the UK's most iconic cultural institutions and play a key role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting strategic goals.

Reporting directly to the CFO and managing a team of five, you will oversee the day-to-day financial operations, statutory accounting, and financial systems while ensuring compliance with charity and public sector regulations.

Key Responsibilities:?? Lead all core financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting?? Prepare statutory accounts and oversee year-end processes?? Manage finance systems and ensure accurate, timely data for decision-making?? Ensure compliance with HMRC, Charity Commission, and financial policies?? Support audits and manage relationships with external auditors?? Provide guidance and leadership to a small, high-performing finance team

About You:?? A fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent)?? Experienced in financial reporting, audit, and compliance - charity, public sector, or audit backgrounds are particularly welcome?? A confident leader with the ability to motivate and develop a team?? Strong in systems management and Excel, with excellent attention to detail?? Clear in communication and collaborative in approach
