Interim Financial Accountant | PE Backed SaaS Scale-Up | Immediate Start

The Client

Harmonic are excited to be partnering exclusively with a SaaS/Fintech Scale-Up who have grown rapidly over the past few years, to find them an exceptional Interim Accountant. Initially a 3-4 month contract, our client are open to the possibility of temp-to-perm.

Our client has remained innovators in the space and their automation software has saved their clients thousands of hours on what are typically very manual tasks. Having reached in excess of £30m turnover as of last year, they are forecasting continued YoY sustainable growth.

Headquartered in London, they also have several offices in mainland Europe & the US, as well as Singapore. They foster a collaborative and fun working environment, with many of the finance team having been with the business for 5+ years. They are looking for someone who can be a real culture add, crucial for someone who might be open to transferring to permanent employment following the contract.

The Role

With the client currently going through year end and several audits, they require an expert finance professional who can hit the ground running, and take significant responsibilities off the financial controller. Audit support would be a big bonus, but the primary role will be own and manage the month-end process, ensuring delivery in a timely and accurate manner.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Month-end close process.
  • Support on financial reporting and ad hoc analysis.
  • Support the day-to-day financial operations, working with the wider finance team.
  • Work with auditors and answer queries.
  • Manage their Junior Accountant
  • Maintain financial journals and reconciliations.
  • Ad hoc project based work for the Financial Controller.

Essential Skills

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or Finalist.
  • 1-3 years' experience out of audit would be preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Incredibly ambitious with a desire to continue learning.
  • Ability to be adaptable and take on a wide range of responsibilities.
  • Problem solver with an analytical mindset.
  • Available Immediately or on short notice (1 week max)

Bonus Experience

  • Experience in a dynamic start-up or scale-up, ideally SaaS or Tech.
  • Experience using NetSuite

Day Rate: £350-£400/day (IR35 TBC, Likely Inside)

Location: London (hybrid 1-2 days per week in office)
