The company:Our client, a multinational shipping group headquartered in London, is seeking a technically adept, Senior Financial Accountant to join their growing finance team in London.

Responsibilities:

  • Involvement in group consolidation process and the production of quarterly and annual statutory accounts under IFRS
  • Preparation of parts of the quarterly management report and providing commentaries to management.
  • Assisting with group budgeting and forecasting
  • Preparation of additional supporting schedules for reviews and providing explanations and analysis as required to support key stakeholders.
  • Maintenance and quarterly uploading of the Company’s lease, depreciation, deferred charges, interest accruals and other accounting schedules as required.
  • Supporting VAT return preparation and submission across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations
  • Assisting with corporate tax computations and working with external advisors during tax filings and audits
  • Monitoring and managing group cash flow, intercompany funding, and banking relationships
  • Supporting treasury operations including FX exposure management, liquidity forecasting, and covenant compliance

Role Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will be a qualified ACA/ACCA/CPA (or equivalent)
  • Top 10/20 audit experience is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to work on own initiative or as a part of a team
  • Ability to meet deadlines
