Are you ready to take ownership of a growing Tax Risk & Governance practice within a dynamic and fast-growing mid-tier firm?

With an impressive client portfolio spanning entrepreneurial businesses to FTSE 100 companies, this firm is expanding its Tax Governance offering to meet the increasing demand for tax risk management and compliance across all sectors.

The Role

Tax risk and governance have never been more critical, with increasing scrutiny from Boards, Regulators, and Governments worldwide. As Tax Director, you'll play a key role in:

  • Enhancing Tax Control Frameworks - Advising clients on best-in-class global tax functions and ensuring compliance with key obligations such as Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) and Corporate Criminal Offences (CCO).
  • Providing Assurance & Strategic Guidance - Helping clients manage tax risks, improve tax governance frameworks, and implement effective tax strategies.
  • Industry Leadership - Representing the firm at national and international tax conferences and webinars, shaping discussions on the future of tax governance.
  • Technology-Driven Innovation - Leveraging cutting-edge tax technology to improve risk management and compliance processes.
  • Business Development & Growth - Playing a key role in expanding the firm's tax governance offering, developing new client relationships, and delivering strategic insights.
Who We're Looking For

We're seeking an ambitious, commercially aware tax professional with the drive to take ownership of a growing practice. This role could suit a Senior Tax Manager or Tax Director from the Big 4 who is looking for more autonomy, flexibility, and the opportunity to build something truly exciting.

  • CTA / ACA (or equivalent) qualified with a strong background in tax.
  • Experience (or a keen interest) in tax risk, governance, SAO, CCO, and economic crime compliance.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the confidence to lead workshops, training sessions, and webinars.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage client relationships and drive business growth.
  • A strategic mindset, with the ability to lead projects and deliver high-quality insights.
  • A sense of ownership and accountability, both for personal performance and team success.
