Your new companyA chance to join a growing and tech-focussed travel company out of their stunning offices in central London. They are a sociable, engaging team supporting a customer-centric, innovative travel firm. The team are looking for an Assistant Accountant to support their Financial Controller in a broad and busy role.Your new roleAs the Assistant Accountant, you will play an integral role in the day-to-day running of the finance function. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct daily multi-currency bank reconciliations.
  • Perform weekly and monthly cash flow updates.
  • Report on group prepayments.
  • Aid in end-of-month procedures.
  • Perform intercompany reconciliations.
  • Post month-end revenue and reconcile commissions.
  • Assist with the review of Profit & Loss statements.
  • Support and respond to various audit queries during year-end audits.

What you'll need to succeedThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, preferably working towards an accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, AAT, or equivalent) with a focus on detail and be highly motivated. You should be comfortable with all aspects of financial management, from ledger management to bank reconciliations.
