My client a consultancy firm in Central London are excited to announce a newly created position within their Finance Team due to company growth. They are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their vibrant and friendly finance team. This role is ideal for someone at the early stage of their finance career, looking to learn, grow, and progress within the field. You will be working closely with the Financial Controller and Management Accountant, gaining a breadth of experience across different functions within the finance team.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Posting bank transactions and performing bank reconciliations.
  • Monitoring daily cash and reporting on cash positions.
  • Processing corporate credit card transactions and maintaining controls.
  • Handling Accounts Payable processing, employee expenses, and payment runs.
  • Maintaining records of contract and permanent deals.
  • Raising invoices for permanent placements.
  • Driving process improvements and system implementations to automate processes and maximise efficiency.
  • Assisting with the Audit process.
  • Undertaking various finance administrative tasks as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Computer literate, with beginner knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to prioritise in a busy environment and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a collaborative team.
  • Mindset for continuous process improvement.
  • Experience within an SME is desirable.
  • Experience dealing with international entities and multiple currencies is desirable.
