Robert Half Finance & Accounting are partnering with a leading Pharmaceutical company in London to recruit an immediate, interim Assistant Accountant for 3 months.

Role:

Our client is looking for an immediate, interim, Assistant Accountant to assist them for 3 months. You be will be responsible for following duties:

  • Ensure that core financial processes are carried out efficiently with full use of systems and within policies of a professional company
  • Update and reconcile financial ledgers in the relevant accounts package (currently Sage 200)
  • Accurately process purchase orders, supplier invoices and supplier payments
  • Raising future sales invoices and debtor control in a timely and accurate manner
  • Check and process employee expense claims, raising issues and queries with line managers as appropriate
  • Reconcile company credit cards
  • Manage and maintain relationship with banks, including bank account administration and daily bank reconciliations, according to appropriate level of sign off
  • Maintain Accurate tangible and intangible fixed asset registers
  • Prepare of prepayments and accruals, as part of the closing process, in conjunction with the Finance Manager
  • Prepare supporting documents for year-end audit files, for review by Head of Finance
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly budgets, for overview by Finance Manager to the relevant holders
  • Prepare payroll reports for sign off by Finance Manager
  • Maintain pensions schedule
  • Prepare VAT returns for sign off by Finance Manager
  • Support the creation and improvement of processes and innovation relating to policies and controls
  • Act as the first point of call for employees with finance queries
  • Research and resolve appropriate level discrepancies/queries in a timely fashion, raising with Finance Manager/Head of Finance as required
  • Collaborate closely with the Finance Manager, Head of Finance and CFO with any other adhoc tasks as required, including company secretarial duties, health and safety compliance, data entry and analysis, IT, insurance policies etc.

Profile:

The successful interim Assistant Accountant will either be a Finance graduate looking to gain entry level finance experience or you will have have 2+ years experience as an Assistant Accountant.

You must be immediate or 1 weeks notice to be considered for this role.
