Description

The Assistant Accountant will report to the Finance Business Partner and be responsible for:

  • Building relationships with business areas service delivery leads.
  • Provision of financial information, including reports and financial statements.
  • Monitoring the quarterly forecast and identifying key risks and opportunities.
  • Assisting with the preparation of accurate financial information for budget holders.
  • Ensuring journals, receipts and payments are made in line with accounting principles and processes.
  • Providing data for projects as required.

Profile

The successful Assistant Accountant will be at the early stages of their studies and (AAT of part qualified CCAB) and have a basic background in accountancy and understanding the fundamentals of accounts.

A strong background in Excel is essential for this role alongside excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to become a Qualified Accountant, so you must be interested in continuing your studies.

Job Offer

A salary of 36,000 - 39,000 plus an excellent benefits package including full study support and the opportunity to join the Civil Service pension scheme.
