Financial Administrator - Fixed Term - Immediate Start - Richmond

Are you an experienced Financial Administrator looking for an immediate start in a supportive and collaborative school environment? A prestigious independent international school in Richmond is seeking a dedicated Financial Administrator to join their administration team of 20 staff on a fixed-term basis.

This role supports the Financial Controller and offers a varied workload including VAT returns, ledger control, reconciliations, and assistance with year-end audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with VAT returns and ensure tax compliance

  • Manage supplier and customer ledgers using Sage Line 50

  • Liaise with staff on school trips and activities to raise and reconcile invoices

  • Reconcile accounts including suppliers, customers, and bank

  • Oversee staff expenses and credit card statement reconciliations

  • Maintain the security deposit portfolio

  • Support the year-end audit process and journal postings

  • Contribute to continuous improvements in finance systems and reporting

About You:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role with strong debit/credit knowledge

  • Part-qualified or QBE

  • Proficient in Sage Line 50 and Excel

  • Excellent communicator with the ability to hit the ground running

  • Previous fixed-term contract experience desirable

  • Available to start immediately
