Senior Finance Assistant

We are a 150m London based Construction Group, looking for a dedicated and self-motivated finance professional to join the Senior Finance team to support transformation. You will oversee a very busy Accounts Payable function and work very closely with the Senior Finance staff to support changes. The role will report into the Group Financial Controller and Group Finance Manager.

The role will be office-based 3-4 days a week depending upon demands of projects. The preference is for Senior team to be working together to push these changes, and the expectation is to be in more days to facilitate better delivery of projects.

The Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Accounts Payable Function and ensure timely information is provided to senior management for cashflow reporting e.g. payment forecasts, weekly forecast updated and payment runs.
  • Work closely with an Overseas Finance Function who look after all data entry and preparation work
  • Look after Accounts Receivable
  • Responsible for upskilling the Outsource team and UK team
  • Reconcile and prepare CIS returns for review by the Finance Manager
  • Sign off all supplier reconciliations
  • Prepare and sign off all payment runs

Personal Skillset

  • Self-motivated to achieve better personally and for the department
  • Ability to work across departments with different people
  • Able to manage and train staff and keep staff morale high

Desirable Skillset

  • Dynamics 365 experience (preferable)
  • Construct sector experience (Knowledge of CIS and RCV) (Not essential as we know this narrows the pool)
  • Strong leadership skills and self motivated
