Corporate Legal PA

Top UK law firm who are also renowned recipients of Law Firm of the Year awards across various categories is seeking to hire a pro-active and well organised Legal PA to join their Corporate team on an initial 13-month fixed-term contract.

  • Salary to £45,000 (depending on experience)  
  • 13-month fixed-term contract
  • 09:30-17:30 working hours
  • Hybrid working (2 days in the office / 3 days remote)

Corporate Legal PA Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactive diary management, and awareness of Fee Earners' workloads to plan ahead, with minimal supervision
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge and a strong understanding of Fee Earners’ matters to be able to provide the best level support
  • Establishes and maintains effective communications with both internal and external clients or contacts
  • Deals promptly with telephone calls, directing enquiries and taking messages as appropriate; provides back-up telephone coverage and support for other lawyers and secretaries in the area
  • Onboarding new clients, opening new matters, and drafting engagement letters
  • New matter and AML checks including obtaining relevant documentation
  • Co-ordinates administrative tasks such as travel planning / expenses, monitoring inboxes, diary management, organising meetings, time entries, mail, and research
  • Preparing bills (including bill narratives)
  • Assist with training sessions for the team and providing knowledge induction for new team PAs

Corporate Legal PA Skills & Requirements:

  • Previous secretarial experience within a law firm
  • Excellent written, communication and organisational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail skills
  • Familiarity with InterAction
