We are currently supporting a local authority to recruit a Corporate Head of Community Housing. This is a key strategic leadership role overseeing housing options, temporary accommodation, housing support, and the resettlement teams. The role has a strong focus on homelessness prevention, partnership engagement, and the delivery of high-quality resident-focused services.
As a member of the senior leadership team, you will contribute to corporate priorities while driving innovation, efficiency, and improvement across the housing division. You will be accountable for delivering statutory housing responsibilities while ensuring the voice of residents is at the heart of decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
路Provide strategic direction across all community housing functions.
路Lead the development and implementation of homelessness prevention strategies.
路Oversee performance, financial management, and quality assurance across all services.
路Develop and maintain strong partnerships with internal teams, elected members, and external organisations.
路Commission and deliver services that meet the needs of vulnerable residents and reflect corporate priorities.
路Promote innovation and transformation through smarter working and digital solutions.
路Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including safeguarding responsibilities.
路Lead and develop a high-performing, inclusive workforce.

路Proven track record of leadership at a senior level within housing or community services.
路Strong understanding of homelessness legislation and housing policy.
路Skilled in strategic planning, performance management, and service transformation.
路Experience working in a political environment and engaging with elected members.
路Excellent stakeholder and partnership management skills.
路Financially astute with experience managing large and complex budgets.
路Able to lead, inspire, and develop teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
路A collaborative leader with excellent communication, influencing, and problem-solving abilities.
