The Senior Associate Solicitor's role
The Senior Associate Solicitor will play a central role in managing commercial litigation cases, often with international elements and cross-border considerations. The caseload will include contractual disputes, shareholder and partnership conflicts, fraud, professional negligence, and interim relief applications.
You will be expected to take on significant responsibility from the outset, handling matters autonomously while also supervising junior lawyers and contributing to strategic decisions. Business development will form part of the role, with the Senior Associate Solicitor encouraged to build their own profile and client base within the commercial litigation space.
The Senior Associate Solicitor
To be successful in this Senior Associate Solicitor position, you should:
- Be a qualified solicitor in England & Wales with at least 5 years' PQE in commercial litigation.
- Have experience managing complex, document-heavy disputes from inception through to resolution.
- Be confident in advocacy (where appropriate), client interaction, and court procedure.
- Possess strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrate leadership capabilities and a genuine interest in mentoring and team development.
- Experience in arbitration, regulatory investigations, or cross-border litigation is desirable.
