SEO & Content Manager - 12-Month FTC

40,000 - 48,000

Hybrid - Central London (3 days in office)

I'm working with a well-established player in the media and broadcast space who are looking for a strong SEO & Content Manager to join their marketing team for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role plays a big part in helping them reach and engage millions of viewers.

You'll be the lead on SEO and content strategy across a number of consumer-facing websites. The focus is on growing organic traffic, improving site performance, and creating engaging content that drives customer acquisition and retention.

You'll report into the Head of Digital and work closely with product, brand, data and external agencies-so plenty of collaboration. It's a mix of strategy and hands-on work, with the freedom to shape how content and SEO are done across multiple brands.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading content and SEO strategy across several websites, focused on traffic growth and engagement

  • Managing site health and optimisation (including UX, site speed, metadata, tagging and internal linking)

  • Owning keyword strategy and on-site SEO, and feeding into the wider paid search and digital plans

  • Developing and managing editorial calendars, content pillars and topic clusters across multiple brands

  • Creating and publishing a range of content-from articles and product pages to newsletters, videos and guides

  • Supporting campaign planning by aligning content with advertising, social and CRM activity

  • Exploring ways to integrate AI tools and automation into SEO and content workflows

  • Reporting on performance and using data to refine and improve strategy over time

What they're looking for:

  • A solid track record in SEO and content marketing, ideally from a B2C or agency background

  • Strong technical SEO knowledge - you'll be confident using tools like Google Tag Manager, GA4, SEMrush, etc.

  • Experience managing or working closely with CMS platforms (Drupal experience is a plus)

  • A data-driven mindset with the ability to turn insight into action

  • Strong written skills and an eye for what makes content perform

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with multiple stakeholders

  • Experience with AI or automation tools in a content/SEO setting would be a real bonus

  • Experience within consumer facing brands such as publications, news, media, with highly editorial content
