They provide deep expertise in secure IT environments and enterprise architecture, with a track record of success across Defence organisations. Due to continued success and growth, they're seeking an experienced Principal IT Consultant to help drive strategic digital initiatives across the Ministry of Defence.

THE PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT ROLE:As Principal Consultant, you will lead the design and delivery of digital transformation initiatives across Defence. This is a client-facing leadership role combining architecture, programme delivery, and business development. You will work directly with MOD departments, shaping strategy, guiding implementation, and influencing key stakeholders. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about improving national capability and driving strategic change within secure environments.

PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

10+ years working within or alongside the Ministry of Defence

Strong understanding of MOD IT ecosystems, secure networks, MODCloud, JSPs

Proven experience in enterprise IT transformation, architecture, or programme delivery

Existing MOD network, particularly within Defence Digital, DE&S, Front Line Commands

Demonstrated ability to win and lead new consulting engagements

Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities

Professional qualifications (e.g. TOGAF, ITIL, PRINCE2, MSP) desirable

DV clearance or willingness to undergo preferred
