Are you an experienced School Business Manager seeking a rewarding leadership opportunity in a dynamic and inclusive secondary school setting? GSL Education is working with a forward-thinking girls' school in Haringey that is looking to appoint a strategic and efficient School Business Manager to join their senior leadership team on a permanent basis.

 Key Responsibilities of a School Business Manager:-
Leading on all aspects of financial management, budget planning, and reporting.

Overseeing the operational management of school support functions including HR, premises, IT, and administration.

Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, safeguarding protocols, and health and safety standards.

Supporting the Headteacher and Governing Body with strategic planning and school development.

Managing external contracts and service-level agreements to ensure value for money.

Acting as the school’s data protection officer and ensuring GDPR compliance.

Leading a team of administrative and site staff with professionalism and efficiency.

Previous experience as a School Business Manager or in a senior operations/finance role within education.

A recognised school business management qualification (e.g. CSBM, DSBM) or relevant degree-level qualification.

Strong financial and HR management skills, with the ability to analyse and present data effectively.

Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational abilities.

A solution-focused, proactive mindset and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.

A clear understanding of safeguarding, compliance, and school governance responsibilities.

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
