We are seeking an experienced, proactive Building Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of a prestigious, Grade II listed residential development in Central London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact for residents, contractors, and staff, ensuring the building is managed to the highest standards.

  • Lead a team of 10+ site-based staff, providing support, training, and performance management.

  • Liaise regularly with residents' committees, managing agent teams, and other key stakeholders.

  • Manage a substantial operating budget (in excess of £1.3 million), including cost control, reporting, and assistance with setting annual service charges.

  • Oversee building maintenance, planned works, and capital project planning.

  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations, risk assessments, and emergency procedures.

  • Handle insurance claims, contractor supervision, and property-specific documentation updates.

  • Deliver regular reports and resident communications including newsletters and committee updates.

About You:

  • Proven experience managing luxury or listed residential buildings.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate on-site teams.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement experience, especially with resident committees.

  • Confident managing budgets and service charge processes.

  • Comfortable taking ownership of compliance, major works, and external contractor relationships.

  • A flexible, hands-on attitude with availability for emergency call-outs when required.
