An outstanding Teaching Hub in vibrant East London is on the lookout for a passionate and proactive Business Manager to join their team for a long-term temporary - fixed term contract.

Potential Start: End of this academic year

Location: East London (with fantastic transport connections)

Hours Per Week: 28 hours a week (4 days a week onsite)

Working hours: 08.00-16.00/09.00-17.00 - Flexible

Hourly rate: £27.00 - £28.00ph PAYE

Business Management Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Compliance

  • Advise Directors on business, operational, and financial strategies to support sustainable growth.
  • Coordinate with HR, Finance, IT, and Premises to align business functions with organizational goals.
  • Ensure legal compliance and readiness for regulatory inspections in collaboration with finance leads.
  • Monitor sector trends to identify opportunities and risks, maintaining financial viability.
  • Lead strategic initiatives with a hands-on approach, embedding the organization’s vision and values.

Operations Management

  • Lead the central services team to deliver responsive, high-quality support.
  • Streamline processes to improve engagement, efficiency, and communication.
  • Maintain accurate data for DfE KPI reporting and manage a detailed operations calendar.
  • Oversee recruitment and ensure compliance with statutory and internal policies.
  • Ensure high-quality, compliant training provision and outcomes.
  • Act as strategic lead for a programme strand, ensuring contextual relevance and quality.
  • Provide executive support to Directors and participate in governance and operational meetings.

Financial Management

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and reporting in partnership with finance teams.
  • Ensure accurate data collection to support income generation.
  • Manage procurement, contracts, and financial systems in line with Trust policies.
  • Conduct regular budget reviews and reporting to senior leaders and finance stakeholders.
  • Oversee bursary and tuition fee administration, ensuring accuracy and stakeholder coordination.
  • Support audit processes and annual budget preparation with internal and external partners.
  • Manage Appropriate Body Services finances and customer engagement.

Familiarity with the education and teacher training sector is desirable but not essential. A willingness to learn and a commitment to our values are key.
