An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance and Operations Supervisor (Shift) to lead and support a skilled team responsible for delivering both planned and reactive building maintenance across a large and diverse property portfolio. Working on a shift basis, the role is critical to ensuring operational efficiency, staff coordination, health and safety compliance, and high-quality service delivery.
You will assist in the coordination and delivery of maintenance operations, acting as a point of escalation and leadership for a team of operatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining essential services, reducing downtime, and optimising resource deployment.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and direct the day-to-day activities of the maintenance team.

Plan and allocate reactive and planned maintenance tasks.

Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and internal procedures.

Manage staff performance, training, and development needs.

Monitor service performance using CAFM systems and provide regular reports.

Lead on incident management and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.

Support sustainability and energy-saving initiatives.

Liaise with contractors and issue Permits to Work (PTW).

Order and procure maintenance materials and equipment.

Provide technical support and conduct fault diagnostics.

Recognised trade qualification and significant operational maintenance experience.

Demonstrated ability to manage teams in a busy facilities environment.

Experience with health and safety compliance, including RAMS and PTW processes.

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Experience using maintenance systems (e.g. CAFM) and reporting tools.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Working Pattern:
- 12-hour shifts (11 hours paid, 1-hour unpaid break):
- 4 days on ? 4 off ? 4 nights ? 4 off ? repeat
