We are looking for an experienced individual to carry out the following duties:

  • To lead the Council’s Education Transport and Fleet Management Services to ensure compliant, safe, efficient and effective delivery of services to both internal and external customers.
  • To lead the decarbonisation of the Council’s fleet and purchased transport solutions for other clients who receive the service.
  • To lead policy and process development for transport and fleet services to ensure that statutory responsibilities are met, using a person-centred approach, and budget pressures are managed.
  • You will be part of the SEND team, working closely together to support children, young people and their families, as well as working alongside Adult Social Care to support vulnerable adults. You will have the support of your colleagues but also the opportunity to work independently. All local authority special needs teams are facing key challenges at the moment but there are opportunities to find creative solutions and you have the knowledge that you are improving the lives of our residents every day.
