Your Role as Chef de Partie/Wok Chef:
- Setting up the kitchen prior to a restaurants opening.
- Preparing a particular kitchen station by bringing all food containers to that point in the line.
- Cooking a specific portion of each plated meal.
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Assisting with marinating, cutting and precooking foods.
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen area.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen.
- Cleaning the kitchen before the restaurant closes.
- Wrapping unused items and storing them in proper areas at the end of a shift.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure all food is cooked in a timely manner.
- Plating food creatively and maximising customer enjoyment.
Your Experience:
- Previous experience working as a line cook orChef de Partie/Wok Chefin a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred
- Knowledge of Southeast Asian food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
Your Skills:
- Excellent cooking skills and knowledge of various Southeast Asian cooking methods - stir-fry, steam, braise, grill and frying.
- Skilled with wok and all other kitchen equipment and utensils.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
