Chef de Partie -Full time (45 hours)

Daily Duties for a Chef De Partie
  • Setting up section and prepping in accordance to the menu for the day, taking into account any handover from the previous shift
  • Ensuring stock is rotated accordingly and any out of date items pulled immediately
  • Completing any due diligence needed alongside the senior chefs
  • Back door duties including whole fish and meat butchery
  • Cooking / prepping braises / roasts and other dishes in line with the St. JOHN ethos and cookbooks
  • Ensuring a thorough and complete handover to team mates
  • Assisting the chef in menu writing for the following shift, with clear communication of stock held and prep achieved.
Experience needed as a Chef De Partie
  • Minimum Level 2 qualification in Food Hygiene and Health & Safety at Work.
  • Manual handling training
  • Knife handling Skills
  • Team work across all sections
