As a Commis Chef at Tresind London, you are an essential member of the kitchen brigade, supporting your section and senior chefs in delivering consistent, high-quality dishes. This role is designed to develop your culinary skills, discipline, and understanding of professional kitchen operations. Working under the guidance of the Chef de Partie, Demi Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, and Head Chef, you assist with preparation, cooking, and service tasks while learning the standards required at a Michelin-level restaurant. Through commitment, attention to detail, and professionalism, you help ensure that every dish reflects Tresind Londons philosophy: Every guest is treated with care and respect.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

Support the assigned kitchen section with preparation and service tasks.

Follow instructions, recipes, and standards set by senior chefs.

Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and readiness of workstations.

Assist in delivering consistent quality and timing during service.

Uphold food safety, hygiene, and operational standards at all times.

Daily Duties

Carry out food preparation tasks as instructed by senior chefs.

Assist with mise-en-place to ensure section readiness.

Support service by following instructions accurately and promptly.

Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools, and equipment.

Label, store, and rotate food items correctly.

Follow hygiene, safety, and HACCP procedures at all times.

Weekly Duties

Participate in training and skill development sessions.

Assist with stock rotation and basic inventory tasks.

Attend briefings and tastings when required.

Apply feedback from senior chefs to improve performance.

Monthly Duties

Take part in performance reviews and development discussions.

Support preparation for inspections and audits.

Assist with menu changes and seasonal updates.

Continue developing skills across kitchen sections.

Team Leadership & Development

Learn actively from senior chefs and apply feedback consistently.
