We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Demi Chef to join the culinary team at the Royal Garden Hotel. As a Demi Chef de Partie, you will work under the direction of the Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, and Executive Sous Chef to deliver consistent, high-quality food service. You will be responsible for supporting your section, supervising Commis Chefs, and ensuring that all preparation and service meet the agreed standards of excellence.

Key responsibilities of the Demi Chef de Partie include:
  • Perform duties in line with departmental SOPs, hotel policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure all team members follow the companys Code of Conduct and relevant policies.
  • Welcome and support new team members (both agency and directly employed staff).
  • Maintain awareness of agreed food preparation and service standards.
  • Stay informed of daily requirements and upcoming events.
  • Report any problems or complaints promptly to the Chef in charge.
  • Ensure services are properly set up and ready on time for each service period.
  • Prepare food strictly to the recipes designated by the Executive Chef.
  • Complete production charts and ensure mise en place is ready before service, reporting progress to the Chef de Partie.
  • Work collaboratively across sections when required by the Executive Chef or Sous Chefs.
  • Follow the clean as you go policy and maintain high hygiene standards at all times.
  • Carry out food rotation and storage checks, ensuring all items are covered, dated, and labelled.
  • Supervise Commis Chefs after service in cleaning equipment, fridges, and work areas, ensuring they are left in excellent condition.
