The Arding Rooms is not just another kitchen. We are a brand new Private Members Club opening in the beautifully restored Arding & Hobbs building a Clapham Junction landmark, full of history and character.
Weve created a space that blends heritage with modern charm: relaxed yet refined, elegant but full of warmth. Think slow morning bruncheson our rooftop terrace, golden-hour cocktails in the bar, seasonal dinners that feel both comforting and special and a kitchen team that takes pride in it all.
We are now looking for a energetic and passionate Head Chef to join us mid May, to help bring this vision to life.

Our menus will be seasonal, local, and unfussy with an ethical, ingredient-led approach. From relaxed weekday lunches to lively weekend brunches, we want food that feels honest and full of soul.

The Role:
As Head Chef, you willhave full ownership of the kitchen from menu development and sourcing, to team leadership and service delivery. Youll work closely with the General Manager and Events Team to create a food offering thats seasonal, thoughtful, and perfectly aligned with the clubs relaxed but elevated feel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop menus that balance modern British influences with international touches
- Build and lead a high-performing, motivated kitchen team
- Manage kitchen operations, stock, and supplier relationships
- Maintain consistently high food quality and presentation
- Deliver both daily la carte and bespoke event menus
- Ensure food safety, hygiene, and compliance at all times
- Be a hands-on leader in a busy kitchen
- The Club will operate afull service 7 days a week
What Were Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous in a quality-led kitchen
- A strong grasp of seasonal produce, modern techniques, and cost control
- A calm, collaborative approach to leadership
- High standards and attention to detail, even during busy service/events
- Experience with newopenings or developing menus from scratch is a plus
- Passionate about creating food that feels welcoming, fresh, and full of flavour
