- Perform duties in line with departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and comply with all Main Kitchen and hotel policies.
- Ensure all team members follow the companys Code of Conduct and associated policies.
- Supervise the section to ensure smooth operations at all times.
- Liaise with the Sous Chef regarding daily requirements and upcoming events.
- Conduct checks to confirm all duties have been completed during each shift.
- Monitor storage areas to ensure proper food storage and rotation.
- Supervise and maintain high housekeeping standards, ensuring cleaning programmes are followed.
- Ensure the service is properly set up and ready on time for each service period.
- Guarantee all food is prepared according to designated recipes.
- Report accidents, incidents, and equipment defects promptly to the Sous Chef.
- Complete production charts for each shift and ensure mise en place is ready before service.
- Review daily charts for accuracy and completion.
- Carry out regular food checks, ensuring all items are covered, dated, and labelled correctly.
- Supervise cleaning of equipment, fridges, worktops, and work areas, ensuring they are left in excellent condition.
