We are looking for an experienced kitchen manager/senior prep chef to join our team to lead this incredibly important part of our business.Ideally, youll have a few years of working as a sous chef or more senior in a similar environment with experience in dynamic and creative environments. Youll be cooking in a kitchen that cares about the food it sends out and be working with amazing, fresh produce from some of the best suppliers in the country alongside a well-established and tight knit team.
Key responsibilities are:
- Early mornings starting around 5am and finishing at 3pm
- Hands on role, leading the site prep kitchen team (approx. 4 chefs at any one time) with a particular focus on quality and discipline to expected standards and hygiene
- Complete daily prep tasks to agreed par levels throughout the week
- Oversee night butchery operation
- Oversee night bakery operation
- Responsible for receipt and correct storing of deliveries, ensuring sound rotation of stock
- Load invoices onto stock taking system
- Carry out due diligence ensuring compliance with food safety standards
- Oversee and monitor KP team
- Complete rotas for both the KP and prep kitchen team
