We are looking for a talented and motivated Senior Chef de Partie to join our dynamic kitchen team. In this role, you will take charge of a specific section of the kitchen, ensure the highest standards of food preparation and hygiene, and support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in delivering exceptional dining experiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage a designated section (e.g., grill, larder, pastry, sauce) to consistently high standards
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Leading the execution of private and large scale events
- Assisting the Chef de Cuisine with any necessary tasks to ensure a smooth service
- Supervise and train junior chefs and commis within your section
- Answer, report and follow Executive or sous chefs instructions
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Senior Chef de Partie in a quality-driven kitchen
- Solid understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, and culinary techniques
- Minimum 3 years of experience in high volume and fine dining restaurants preferred but not required
- Culinary diploma or equivalent in experience strongly preferred
- Team-orientated and positive attitude
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work standing and walking for extended periods of time
- Strong communication skills a must
