Sous Chef Monday to Friday (7am 4pm)

I am seeking a passionate and experienced Sous Chefto lead a small, high-performing kitchen team that delivers exceptional catering for, both on-site and on/off location. The kitchen focuses on seasonal, sustainable, and nutritious cuisine, crafted from the finest locally sourced ingredients.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative and organised chef who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys producing fresh, inspiring food for a discerning clientele.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Development: Create and plan innovative, seasonal menus tailored to diverse client needs, maintaining exceptional taste, presentation, and nutritional balance.

  • Food Preparation: Oversee all aspects of food production, ensuring consistency, flavour, and quality in every dish.

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a Sous Chef, fostering a supportive, efficient, and collaborative working environment.

  • Inventory Management: Manage stock, order supplies, and ensure all ingredients are fresh, high-quality, and sustainably sourced.

  • Health & Safety: Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and food safety, ensuring full compliance with HACCP regulations and using the Food Alert application on an iPad.

  • Client & Management Collaboration: Work closely with management and production teams to meet specific dietary requirements and gather feedback to enhance the catering experience.

  • Budget & Waste Management: Control kitchen costs, minimise food waste, and ensure efficient use of resources.

About You
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef in a high-quality catering or event environment.

  • Strong knowledge of seasonal, sustainable, and healthy cooking.

  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and deliver consistently high standards.

  • A proactive, hands-on approach with genuine passion for fresh, nutritious, and creative cuisine.
