We are looking for a Sous Chef to join a passionate and talented kitchen team at the amazing River Restaurant by Gordon Ramsay at the iconic Savoy Hotel.

The River Restaurant by Gordon Ramsay is a beautifully classic, yet stylish and relaxed all-day dining restaurant in the heart of The Savoy, London.

The River Restaurant showcases the very best shellfish and seafood the UK has to offer. From fresh oysters, ceviche and caviar served at the centre-piece raw bar, to an incredible la carte menu including butter baked cod, grilled lobster and whole dayboat fish.

With panoramic views across the River Thames and Victoria Embankment Gardens, The River Restaurant blends The Savoys glorious architecture with a light and polished interior, designed by world renowned designer Russell Sage.

As Sous Chef you will:

  • Assist the Head Chef & Executive Chef manage the day-to-day operation of the kitchen whilst supervising and developing the brigade
  • You will ensure the highest standards of food preparation and delivery, as well as
  • Effective communication across all sections of the kitchen

The successful candidate will:

  • Be passionate about delivering high quality, seasonal food
  • The motivation and leadership skill to represent the Gordon Ramsay Brand and its world class hospitality standards
  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef within a premium high-volume quality restaurant, preferably within fine dining
  • Comprehensive culinary knowledge previous experience of working in a Grill style concept is desirable
  • A solid understanding of classic cooking methods and seasonality, as well as an ability to innovate and create when needed
  • A keen eye for detail to ensure delivery of the standards and the highest levels of food quality at all times
  • A strong personality, with confidence and enthusiasm to lead the team alongside the Executive Chef in the day to day running of the kitchen
  • Have substantial previous experience working in a similar role within a fine dining environment
  • Be able to effectively lead, manage, motivate and develop a team while enhancing their skill level
