As senior sous chef you will be supporting the Head chef in leading the kitchen team in delivering an authentic culinary experience, and hospitality values. This role requires a deep passion for gastronomy.
You will be assumingresponsibility when the Head Chef is absent, overseeing kitchen operations, managing food quality and consistency, and providing staff training, while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in leading day-to-day kitchen operations during service and prep
- Supervise and train a high-performing kitchen team; foster a culture of excellence, consistency, and teamwork
- Contribute to menu development, seasonal concept creation, and tasting menus
- Ensure high-quality, beautifully presented plates with attention to flavor, texture, and plating standards
- Maintain food safety, HACCP/compliance, and cleanliness across the kitchen
- Manage mise en place, inventory, ordering, and waste control; monitor costs and parsimonious use of ingredients
- Collaborate with front-of-house to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction
- Resolve issues quickly during service and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead by example with immaculate personal hygiene.
