Smyth & Co are delighted to partner with a prestigious, high-end hospitality group to secure a talented Sous Chef for one of their flagship modern British brasserie concepts. This is an exceptional opportunity for a driven and skilled chef to join a highly regarded kitchen team delivering elevated, seasonal cuisine in a refined yet lively setting.
The Role
As Sous Chef, you will play a key role in supporting the Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen management, leading sections during service, training junior chefs, and ensuring exceptional standards of quality, consistency, and organisation. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, strong leadership, and a calm, confident presence during busy services.
Key Details
Salary: £41,000 + approx. £7,000 annual tronc
Hours: 45 hours per week
Overtime: Paid at £17 per hour with regular opportunities to work 50+ hours if desired
Start Date: Immediate starts available
Cuisine: Modern British, brasserie-style

Requirements
Strong background in modern British or brasserie-style cooking
Experience at Sous Chef level (or a strong Junior Sous ready to step up)
Ability to lead services confidently and support kitchen operations
